Annual Council Meeting Agenda 2023

Notice is hereby given that there will be a Parish Council Meeting on Monday 22 May 2023 at 7.00 pm.

To be held at Stow Minster.  The Previous Vice Chair will be presiding at the beginning of the meeting.

Your attendance at such meeting is hereby requested to transact the following business:-

  1. Election of Chairman and signing of declaration of office.
  2. Election of Vice Chairman and signing of declaration of office.
  3. Consider Co-option applications for Councillor vacancies.
  4. Apologies for absence and acceptance of any reasons given.
  5. To accept declarations of Interest in accordance with Localism Act 2011 and any dispensations that may arise.
  6. Notes of the last meeting held on Monday 13th March 2023 to be approved as the minutes.

 

  1. Financial Matters
    a) To agree the Final Accounts for 2022/2023
    b) To agree and sign the certificate of exemption

c) To accept and sign the Audit Annual Government statement for 2022/2023

d) To accept and sign the Audit Accounting Statement for 2022/2023

e) Authorisation of payments and receipts since the last meeting

f)  Cil payment received.

g) To agree Council Insurance for 2023/2024 under the 3 year agreement.

h) To agree ICO Data Protection Fee.

    a) Review and accept Council policies and asset register

b) Review 3month trial period of Parish Clerk.

c) Appoint internal auditor for 2023/2024 and agree on voucher to send.

d) Grass cutting contract

e) Trees on the Village green

f) Update on Stow Bugle

g) Highways update
h) Update on cemetery and playpark – Land Registry

i) Update progress with Northern Power Grid regarding the removal of the exposed high voltage wires       in the play park
j) Update on Cottam Solar project.

k) Seat on the Village green
