STOW PARISH COUNCIL ANNUAL PARISH MEETING

4 May 2021 REMOTELY BY ZOOM 6.30 PM

 

Present: Cllr P Justham, Cllr J Martinson, Cllr Read, Cllr Duncan, Cllr Turner, Cllr Taylor

1.  Apologies for Absence

Cllr Hewitt, due to the Covid 19 government restrictions, was unable to attend the meeting.

 

2.  Minutes of the Annual Parish Meeting held on the 13 May 2019

 

It was proposed by Cllr Read and seconded by Cllr Duncan to accept the minutes as a true copy of the meeting.
 

3.  Matters Arising

Due to the Covid 19 pandemic reports were not received from Sturton School, Sturton Youth Club or Stow Minster.

 

 

4.  Annual report from the Council

5.  Parish Council Accounts for the Financial Year 2020/2021

6.   Update on Stow Recreation Fund Report B

Clare Ella was present to give the annual report.

 

Cllr Turner thanked the committee for the electronic winder for the Minster Clock, it has made a huge difference.

 

The Council thanked the committee for their fantastic achievement and hard work in the distribution of the fund.

 

7. Report on joint Neighbourhood Plan with Sturton by Stow

Cllr Duncan gave a report on the NP.

The plan has come a long way.

The regulation 14 first round comments have been completed.

The regulation 16 is ready to send to West Lindsey for comments, it will then be sent to the Inspectors in Bristol for scrutiny.

Following that it will be ready for referendum.

The working cooperatively with Sturton by Stow on this project leaves a good potential for future joint working.

 

 

8.  Update on Stow Fun Raisers

Cllr Duncan gave an update, there have been no events due to the Covid restrictions.

The bike ride is due to go ahead on Sunday August 29th.

 

 

9.  AOB

There was a request for a litter bin to be provided adjacent to Caps Island near to the

dog bin, as drivers seem to throw rubbish out of the car on this part of the road

between Stow and Sturton.

 

The welcome to the village pack being distributed has proved to be very successful.
